This was a great afternoon for so many reasons; the weather, fun new format, great atmosphere, a golf course in great condition and the Gold Coast's #1 chicken parmi to top it off.
We were joined at Emerald Lakes by a great group of our amazing Foretune Members and Guests. In keeping with doing things a bit different; we played a 2-ball "Swap & Go" format. This proved a lot of fun with everyone having to swap balls after their tee-shot. One of the comments of the afternoon was "I haven't lost my ball yet; just 3 of my partners".
A huge thank you to Kate and the team at Emerald Lakes. They are always keen to work with us in the lead up to and during our event; nothing is ever too much. This is just one of the reasons we love coming back and supporting Emerald Lakes.
Today I had the opportunity to drive around and catch up with everyone throughout the afternoon and offer my own "guest shots". The most pleasing and exciting thing was to hear about the many thousands of dollars of business being done between members (and guests). This is why Foretune exists; to grow businesses. Thank you to those who continue supporting us.
Congratulations to Tom Williams (Geoff Williams & Associates) and Daniel Knapp (Superior Property) who took out top spot on the podium. Only one shot behind was Michael Yacoub (Advantex International) and Grant Schwikkard (Direct Marketing Solutions). Only 5 shots separated the entire field which was fantastic.
Our final event of 2016 is always highly anticipated. For the 3rd year in a row, our Members and Guests will be playing the Australian PGA Championship layout just days after the Pro's. We always look forward to our return to Royal Pines Resort. The registration will be out early next week (starting 14-Nov).
Thank you to everyone who joined us at Emerald Lakes and we look forward to seeing everyone at Royal Pines Resort on Thursday, 8 December.
