Isn’t it great when a plan comes together? The goal of our May business golf afternoon was to provide a great course and great company; then blended it with quality business development and conversation. The cherry on top of this thoroughly enjoyable afternoon was detailing our new business platform and how FORETUNE will focus on our Members and contribute to their business growth. A special thank you to those who provided feedback and passed on their excitement towards the new initiatives and direction the group is heading in.
After an absence of 3 years, it was great to step back onto the fairways at Arundel Hills. The work done by General Manager Marcus Sullivan and his team has been amazing. It is just so Australian to be playing a course and sharing it with the Kangaroos on many of the holes. Our resident professional David Mellsop was on hand to give everyone a swing with the TaylorMade M1 and M2 as well as Jeff Kranen of Flight Centre Business Travel who kept everyone honest in their quest for the $30,000. It was great to have Trudi Teren with us once again capturing the fun on the course and the comradery off the course. Check out the Arundel Hills Gallery to see a selection of Trudi’s amazing work.
At the end of the day we had six teams finish on the same winning score and the entire field had a 6 point difference from top to bottom. Congratulations to Mat Hart (St George Bank) and John Geros (Davco Winch Systems) who came out on top in the count-back, just ahead of Phil Imhoff (BOQ Robina) and Ruben Alker (Hip Communications).
Once we finished on the course it was up to the beautiful members room for some storytelling, making new connections and a light meal. The sight of members and guests mixing on the balcony and in the room demonstrated exactly what FORETUNE is about.
Following the launch for FORETUNE Business, we are now finalising the new calendar of business golf afternoons, we also have our inaugural Business Breakfast locked in for Wednesday, 21 June BOOK YOUR SEAT TODAY!.
